A stunning 1940 beige silk chiffon dress with pretty covered button detail to the centre back and cuffs. A well styled and cut dress.

Copper coloured glass beads have been hand sewn onto the centre front panel and the yoke to the dress.

Fully lined with silk, this dress is a perfect example of master pattern cutting using sheer and delicate fabrics.

An early 1940 crepe day dress in lilac and royal blue. The dress has the effect of a peplum without having to use extra fabric - simply by extending the bodice fabric into the top part of the skirt - clever and ingenious with out using extra fabric.

Clever detailing at the neck which creates a gentle stand up collar makes for a smart day dress.
